Health
There are several factors I look at when I recommend a carrier for
you and your family’s healthcare.
Among them are:
How large is the insured “group”?
This is probably one of the most important factors in choosing
a policy. The larger the group, the lower the premiums, the more
stable your premium is from year to year and the amount of benefits
you receive from the policy. The answers to these questions may
change from one part of Texas to another…we are professionals
that represent almost every major health insurance carrier in the
State of Texas. We will make sure we fit you to the best carrier
for your situation!
What is your insurance company rated?
A.M. Best, an independent rating company, rates all insurance companies.
We only recommend those carriers with an “A” rating.
Can you go to the doctor or hospital of your choice?
Are you covered on the job?
Are organ transplants covered?
There are many carriers that have not kept up with medical technology
and do not amend their policies to pay for these expensive procedures.
Make sure you are aware of who they are!
Does the insurance company require their permission for
you to go to the hospital?
Does the insurance company reserve the right to raise your
premiums on an individual basis?
Stay away from these carriers as you do not want your rates to
go so high you cannot afford your coverage if you become ill or
have a catastrophic claim!
Does your insurance company pay a “hidden”
schedule of benefits that only the insurance company seems to know
what is covered or how much is to be paid?
We make sure that your health insurance policy is designed to protect
you and your family instead of being designed to take your money
and limit benefit payments!
